JIM C. EZER

Career Highlights

Jim has more than 30 years of trial experience in criminal and civil litigation, representing numerous major companies and corporations. He has tried cases throughout Texas and other states in both state district and federal district courts. While at the United States Attorney’s Office, Jim served as Chief of the Criminal Section. He was the recipient of a national award for Outstanding Assistant United States Attorney in 1979 and received accommodations from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Serving as an Assistant for the Southern District of Texas, he represented various departments and agencies of the United States in civil litigation, prosecuting a number of white collar, narcotic and major fraud cases.

• Successfully defending a national manufacturer of heavy equipment in a multiple million dollar personal injury case.
• Winning a dismissal of all claims against a principal utility company in an electrocution case.
• Representing several major construction companies and corporations in construction related matters and cases.
• Representing large companies and corporations in product liability cases, including class action suits.
• Representing several prominent doctors and medical providers in medical malpractice cases.
• Representing insurance companies defending their insured in various legal matters and actions including declaratory judgments.
• Representing several companies and corporations in cases involving toxic tort, environmental, asbestosis and silicosis litigation.
• Obtaining a verdict in favor of a national railroad company in a chemical explosion case in Louisiana.
