Bob has a wide range of experience in complex matters, including the representation of clients in highly technical matters, securities and shareholder matters, and class actions. For more than a decade, he has represented some of the largest companies in the world.

Prior to his legal career, Bob worked as an engineer for ten years managing engineers as well as hands-on designing, installing, and testing complex computer-based systems. Bob’s engineering experience complements his legal proficiency in providing an additional beneficial aspect to his representation of clients.

Legal Matters

  • Represented the owners of a nuclear power plant against an equipment manufacturer in a fraud and breach of warranty case involving malfunctioning nuclear plant equipment.
  • Represented the defendants in state and federal court class actions, consolidated actions, criminal actions, and shareholder actions resulting from the worst oil spill in history.
  • Represented a group of physicians bringing an antitrust action against one of the nation’s largest hospital companies, arising after the physicians failed in their attempt to open a competing facility.
  • Represented a Fortune 500 company defending claims that one of its chemical products was defective and unsuitable.
  • Represented a large Corpus Christi refiner in a class action nuisance case brought by plant neighbors; successfully defeating class certification.
  • Represented former officers of a NYSE-listed client in a consolidation of 21 class action lawsuits filed in federal court alleging violations of Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and Rule 10b-5 thereunder.
  • Represented investors who were defrauded out of millions of dollars in a fraud case against one of the nation’s largest banks and others.
  • Represented two large utility companies in class action lawsuits alleging under payment of municipal franchise fees over a forty-year period.
  • Represented a class of Texas automobile owners in a federal class action arising from defective seat belt mechanisms.
  • Represented a Fortune 500 company as national coordinating counsel for lawsuits arising from toxic exposure at its chemical plants.
