Career Highlights
Following her graduation from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2000,
Tonya served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ewing Werlein, Jr. of the
United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas for two
years. She worked as an associate with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP
in its Washington, DC and Houston offices until 2005, and joined
Schirrmeister Diaz-Arrastia Brem LLP as an associate in 2006. Tonya is a
member of the State Bar of Texas and the District of Columbia Bar. Her
practice focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on briefing and
motions practice. Tonya received her undergraduate degree from the
University of Iowa in 1997, majoring in accounting.
