George Diaz-Arrastia was invited to deliver a talk on representing Latin
American Clients in U.S. litigation to the VIII Annual Partner’s Conference
of UC & CS América, S.C. held in Mexico City on December 10-11, 2007. UC &
CS is an international consortium of accounting firms with offices
throughout Latin America, the United States and Canada, and is associated
with Eur/Audit International, a European consortium of accounting firms. A

Andrew Schirrmeister was one of the
defense counsel in a symposium sponsored by HarrisMartin Publishing entitled
Benzene Litigation Conference: Trial of a Benzene-Leukemia Case from Jury
Selection to Verdict. Andrew was responsible for the direct examination of

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, a distinguished fellow at the Brookings
Institution, played a key role in Nigeria’s recent economic reforms during
her tenure as Minister of Finance and Minister of Foreign Affairs. She is
credited with giving birth to a new era of transparency in the Ministry of
Finance. Her efforts to fight corruption and to create job growth in Nigeria
earned her international acclaim including TIME Magazine’s “Hero of the
