I want to share with you an
interview with my law partner and close friend, George Diaz-Arrastia, which
appeared in the February 2008 issue of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel.
In this interview, George discusses the extensive international litigation
and counseling practice our firm has developed with a particular emphasis on
Mexico and Central America. We have come to represent individuals, small
businesses and some of Latin America’s largest companies in litigation
throughout the United States. We are actively counseling these same clients
on litigation in their own countries. For the last several years, our firm
has represented Dow and DuPont in matters throughout Latin America and
George’s involvement has been essential to our success in this endeavor. We
have also expanded our practice to include European and most recently
Chinese clients interested in business opportunities in the United States.
Finally, our international arbitration capabilities have been enhanced with
the admission of Will Russell, who has been closely involved with George in
our Latin American practice.
Our willingness to spread our practice beyond the borders of the United
States and to take the time and energy to understand our clients’ needs and
their particular way of doing business have been an integral part of the
firm’s success in developing this area.
All of us at Schirrmeister Diaz-Arrastia Brem are proud to have George as
part of the firm and we are honored to call him our colleague and friend.
