January 2008
Will Russell spoke at the Houston International Arbitration Club on January
15, 2008. Will’s presentation was entitled “Alternative Fee Structures in
International Arbitration." The presentation focused on the legal, ethical,
and practical implications of various attorney fee structures in
trans-national litigation and international arbitration.
December 2007
George Diaz-Arrastia was invited to deliver a talk on representing Latin
American Clients in U.S. litigation to the VIII Annual Partner’s Conference
of UC & CS América, S.C. held in Mexico City on December 10-11, 2007. UC &
CS is an international consortium of accounting firms with offices
throughout Latin America, the United States and Canada, and is associated
with Eur/Audit International, a European consortium of accounting firms. A

November 2007
The Firm congratulates Ramona Emilia Romero, Corporate Counsel, Logistics
and Energy, at DuPont, for being awarded the Lucero Award at the Puerto
Rican Legal Defense & Education Fund Annual Awards Gala 2007 in New York
City. The Lucero Award is presented to a guiding star in the legal
community who exemplifies PRLDEF’s mission to help Latinos achieve their
dreams. Andrew Schirrmeister, George Diaz-Arrastia and Joe Matta attended
the Annual Awards Gala for the PRLDEF. The Firm also participated as a
Sponsor for the event. PRLDEF is an international organization dedicated to
Promoting Justice for Latinos.
