Overview Our Firm is based on a simple promise: the lawyer you hire will be the lawyer that handles your matter. We are largely big firm “refugees” seeking to provide the same high quality legal representation through a more responsive and cost-effective model. The Firm consists of two partners and three other lawyers. Over the past fifteen years, our largest clients have been E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, The Dow Chemical Company, Rohm and Haas Company, Union Carbide Corporation, Kellogg Brown & Root Inc., Cytec Industries Inc., Pepsi Bottling Group Mexico, The Chemours Company, Tricon International, Ltd., Arkema Inc., and NOVA Chemicals LLC. Partner Mike Brem is national and international counsel for The Dow Chemical Company in literally tens of thousands of cases involving occupational exposure to DBCP. He is also national counsel in asbestos litigation for the Rohm and Haas companies. He came to the Firm from Baker Botts LLP, where he had been a partner in the trial department. Partner George Diaz-Arrastia is fluent in Spanish, and has considerable experience handling international matters and representing clients based in Latin America. He also began his career at Baker Botts LLP.
Lastly, a word on something that makes our Firm both high quality and truly special. Some of our lawyers work on a “flexible schedule” basis that better allows them to balance their young families and career. These lawyers formerly worked at Andrews & Kurth and Baker Botts. Included among them are former clerks to Hon. Lee Rosenthal of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and Hon. Thomas R. Phillips, Chief Justice, and Hon. David M. Medina both of the Supreme Court of Texas.
